MORE ABOUT PEACE

Most of us don't think about peace until we don't have it. Peace can be just the absence of mental strife or it can be a deep sense of calm. We all need peace, but we settle for different levels.

Some of us want to experience the vastness of quiet, where we can get in touch with Oneness; a state of mind, where we can feel the loving energy of creation, and know our unity with Source.

Many of us, just want to get through the day, without too much annoyance. Some are in both camps; we struggle with annoyance most of the day, and yet we can reach very profound states of peace through meditation.

We all want peace of mind. From peace comes love. From peace comes joy. Peace is the necessary baseline for happiness.

Our mentors teach us, we can be at peace, regardless of what is occurring around us. Yet, we go through a day, and sometimes the most minor things, will disturb us. Just this Morning, I was in a discussion, and peace got sidetracked, because of minor definition that had no real significance.

Our egos are constantly measuring. They are comparing and checking, to see how we are measuring up, to those around us. To the ego everything is higher and lower, better or worse. The ego attempts to defeat, the idea of equality, at every turn. The ego has a place for everything and everybody. The ego is always on the lookout to disturb our peace. The ego is the enemy of peace. Peace is scary to the ego. The ego can't rule when there is peace.

The ego operates below our awareness and we often don't recognize its contribution to our everyday existence. If we decide to take notice, we will see how it influences us, when we find our peace disturbed. We were attacking or defending. Somehow we felt a minor threat to the idea of ourselves. We brought out a gun or raised a shield. Or both.

Love is flooding our planet. The consciousness of humankind is spiraling up. We will, eventually, feel so safe, and convinced of our oneness, that we will be able to let our egos take a back seat. For most of us our egos still have a hand on the wheel; for some of us, both hands, others only a finger.

This is a tough time. Despite the increase in Love; there is, also, huge waves of negativity coming from our dieing institutions. We cannot help but feel the onslaught of anger, rage and helplessness, that is engendered. At some level, we all feel it. Our egos job, was to protect our bodies from outside assault. Of course, the ego is going to have some hypersensitivity, it is trying to protect us. But it doesn't protect us, it isolates us and creates enemies and threat, where none exists. We created our egos, to protect us, when we first emerged, on this planet, in these fragile bodies. Our egos, were corrupted, to extend themselves to psychological threat, and all types of measurement of higher and lower. It was through, the corruption of the ego, that our controllers began to manipulate us and eventually enslave us.

Love is the only solution, and love can be found, by seeking and maintaining our peace.

When we awake in the Morning, let us first appreciate our peace; if we are not peaceful, let us find it. As we go through the day let us avoid feeling the little annoyances that life brings. Let us accept that those around us are doing their best. We don't need to react to their idiosyncrasies. We don't need to react when we get a glimmer of their ego. That glimmer, may just stay a glimmer, and not spark a fire, if we can look past it.

Let us dedicate ourselves to finding our peace and keeping it through the day. Let us radiate peace, everybody will benefit.

Love and Peace,  Gregg
