It has been a while since we have been snowed in for more than a day. If we get out of here tomorrow morning, it will be less than a day. Our plowman intends to get here by tomorrow morning. The deciding factor is the wind which keeps drifting over the county road after it is plowed.
We had twin buck goats born yesterday morning. I had to struggle to get out there and check on them this Morning. One is strong and healthy; the other so-so. We only need one to replace our old buck that we gave away; but it is heartbreaking to see a newborn that is not thriving.
We haven't had any snow to speak of all year, then we get hit with a couple feet. I don't think it is that deep on the level, but it is in places. I wouldn't be surprised if it measures fifteen inches.
The changes that are happening in our world should hit the mainstream media soon. Eighty one high level bank officials resigned world wide in a relatively short time. There is much wonder about what this means but surprising little speculation. A common belief is that they are avoiding prosecution.
Fifteen trillion dollars was transferred from United States, in five trillion dollar increments, to the Royal Bank of Scotland. From there it was transferred to banks across Europe in an attempt to save the Euro. The reason for the action was to pay off the gambling debts the big banks had accrued {credit defaults swaps etc.}. The belief was that Wall Street would go under if this action wasn't taken. The problem is that this action is illegal because it indebts the American taxpayer without congressional approval; or at least oversight, if they can claim some prior permission in an emergency. A member of the House of Lords {James Blackheath} presented the evidence with documents showing the signatures of American and European officials; both Bernanke and Geitner signed off.
This is more than a scandal and as it unfolds whole governments may be toppled. Interesting indeed! It is something that cannot be kept out of the media for long.
This is great news for us; as it is a sign that the folks that have been exploiting us are on their way out. The cabal is losing its grip on the media and soon we will be hearing what has been going on behind the scenes for a while. Folks are stepping up to tell the truth. Lord Blackheath is only one that we owe thanks to; we will be hearing more and more from officials who cannot stomach what has been happening.
March is going to be a month of revelations and by April you should have no doubt that the world is changing. Some of you might be disturbed by what you discover. Know that it is all for the good. Keep your focus on the World we are creating of Love.

A PEACEFUL SUNDAY
The last few days were quite busy. We had the sheep sheared on Friday and then I had to go to the feed store. I have to load the feed sacks on my toboggan and pull them one hundred yards to the barn. It is good exercise. Today, I finished my Morning chores, washed my dishes, looked at the Sunday paper and now I am sitting in front of this key board with no idea what I am going to say.
We are planning for the Spring. Jamie has ordered seeds. We will be starting some seeds in the house and some in the green house, soon. I would like to order more orchard trees. We have four young apple trees and four bearing age trees. I would like to plant a mixed orchard of nut and fruit bearing trees and shrubs; perhaps begin with an acre. In our area we teeter between zone three and four. If the climate change holds, we are zone four. I tried apricots before and they did well until we got 40 degrees below zero in December. They might have survived this kind of cold later in the season, but this was a warmish Fall and the cold came suddenly before the trees had a chance to harden off. That is an example of the situation we need to prepare for in planning an orchard. I am always willing to experiment; twice I had peach trees live for five or so years before they Winter killed.
Living this life style helps one stay focused in the now. There is always something to bring you down to Earth. Taking care of animals is a wonderful thing; especially in the Winter, they are always so happy to see you. I marvel how they can live and even thrive in our Winter environment. The barn is pretty cozy, but certainly not warm. The chicken coop feels warm on a cold day, but their water will freeze at night. The animals are free to go outside any time. I just lock the chickens and turkeys up at night because there are animals, besides humans, that enjoy eating them.
As our economy deteriorates, there are going to be more and more people interested in subsistence farming. We have discovered that a family could live well on a very few acres. However, better yet, would be some form of cooperative agriculture where each family could raise somethings for themselves and each other. Some people would be especially adept at raising chickens, others apples or sheep or cabbages. I know that if everybody does what they love to do, there will be plenty for all.
Those of you who raise gardens may be interested in saving your seeds this year. I think it is a good idea for folks to learn how, even in the best of times. Plants will adapt to the conditions that are presented in your particular situation and it is a shame to lose this. Plants have intelligence; their experience is stored in their seeds. At this time, we have the added uncertainty of the availability of seeds following the collapse.
It is a gray day. We have not seen the Sun. It was suppose to snow 2 to 4 inches; nothing so far. We need the moisture but I would just as soon see it wait for a couple weeks and come as rain. But what do I know?
I hope you are all having a peaceful day and finding it easy to love the one at your elbow and the one across the room and the one across town.
Love and Peace, Gregg

ANARCHY
Jamie and I have been talking about how our society and government are largely a creation of the Ego. Over the years I have read a few things about Anarchy and it is interesting how it got equated with chaos and disorder. The first definition in my dictionary is: "absence of any type of political authority". I certainly can't speak for all who claim to be anarchist, but a common theme is the belief that a natural order will exist, that is superior to the man made order, if the man made order is abandoned.
Well let us examine this. I think that our society, hence political systems, are a creation of the group ego. The system exist mainly to enhance the egos of the elite. The higher up on the food chain the more ego enhancement.
Years and years ago, I use to pose this question to my friends; "how would you behave differently if there were no laws?" At first I would get exaggerated responses; then on reflection they would conclude that they wouldn't behave any differently. However, they were afraid some people might. They didn't see laws as modifying their behavior, but still felt they protected them from others. Interesting, so are we to conclude that laws are a response to fear?
The most often heard argument against a benign natural order is peoples' perception of nature. Many folks look at nature and only see predation; a dog eat dog world. They believe that to be civilized means separating yourself from nature. The major problem I see, in this view, is that nature is like a huge inkblot, you read into it what you project. A fearful person sees fear. An angry person sees anger. You will project on to nature whatever you feel is true.
I don't think the anarchist were wrong. They were out of synch with the time. There was no time in the last two thousand years where their ideas would work. If you had eliminated all social structure, the collective ego would have created new structure just as repressive as the one abandoned. This is especially true with the rise to the top of the psychopaths this last one hundred years.
How about now? There seems to be a new generation of people who can visualize a natural order based on the idea that we can love one another. They feel it! They see it! They know it! In my mind, there is no question, that the light is shining bright. I see evidence every day that folks are waking up. We don't need to be afraid to let the existing order collapse under its own weight. It is all ego. For many years we have suffered from living in a society created by ego; let us create one out of love.

DO THINGS FEEL RIGHT?
I have had an uneasy feeling these last few days and today it is more intense. It is not a bad feeling; perhaps, a little apprehensive. Something is going on underneath the surface. Google- bank official resignations- you will be surprised how many high level bank officials have resigned in the last few days. Is the Justice Department onto them, finally? Are they resigning to avoid prosecution? Why isn't this covered in the mainstream media? The resignations are all over the world, so it wouldn't be only our Justice Department action. This seems like good news. We should know in the next few days.
There are other rumors about members of the dark cabal being arrested. This is hard to believe as they have been beyond the reaches of any law, on this Earth, for a few thousand years. Maybe it is just wishful thinking; but I hope it is true.
The mainstream media has been under firm control for many years. They [the cabal] let the media have a little too much freedom during the Vietnam War and they won't let that happen again. I have been saying all along that the dark ones were losing their grip; we will know for sure when the media starts presenting the truth.
In the meantime; lets be happy. There is much to celebrate. People all over the world are freeing themselves from their masters. The Greeks, Spaniards and Romanians are in open rebellion against those who would have them pay for the greed of the international bankers. Many other countries will follow suit. In the end, the World's people will not accept dominion by these scalawags. It is tempting to be angry with them as they have caused so much grief for so many years. But, you know and I know, we need to forgive them. Be happy they will soon be out of power. We need to forgive them for ourselves, because we cannot create a new world of love while we carry their negativity. Also, we have been around for thousands of years ourselves and have spent our time being in darkness, or, at least, being enamored by the dark. In any case, the world has been a creation of all of us. We contribute passively or actively.
We need to spend this time celebrating: learning to dance; playing music; frolicking in the woods; and exploring this paradise we call our Earth Home. We each have a talent that needs expression right now, whether it is poetry, sculpture, painting, pottery etc. etc.

A SUNNY FRIDAY
What a beautiful day! Perhaps it is too optimistic, but it feels like Spring. My dishes are soaking, I am sitting here with a fresh cup of coffee at my elbow, what could be better?
Everything is going along splendidly on Laughing Water Farm. The chickens are finally laying enough eggs for our needs, the geese will be laying soon and the sheep will be sheared next week. I hope that the ewes don't lamb before then, as they are very wooly and if the newborns aren't very vigorous, they will have trouble finding their breakfast. It is hard to tell if their close up when they are as woolly as they are.
We could raise all of our food. We haven't needed to. We raise goats for milk {Jamie makes several kinds of cheese}, chickens for eggs and meat, a few turkeys for meat and geese for I don't know what. We love goose, but the thought of plucking them, discourages us. We have thought about plucking them for down; have you ever held a squawking goose in your lap and plucked their breasts? It is no picnic. We only keep a small flock of sheep. We love lamb and we sell the wool to the shearer. We originally intended to raise sheep for the wool and sell it to people who were into hand spinning; but that requires making your own market. That is not my thing. I didn't inherit the salesman gene. Of course, we have a sizable garden. Jamie cans and freezes large quantities of vegetables. We still have potatoes and hopefully they will last for awhile yet.
We love the lifestyle, raising animals and plants affords us. It keeps you in the rhythm of the seasons and helps you feel part of all there is. We don't do it because we think we need to. Although, there is considerable comfort in knowing you can feed yourself in times like these.
I wish I could tell people what is going to happen. I don't know more than anybody else. I just know what it looks like and you can do that too. I feel great changes will happen this year. I always thought a financial collapse would precede everything else. However, the money people have such a monopoly on the sources of wealth, that they can control the day to day fluctuations of the stock market with relative ease. It looks like things will grind to a halt rather than crash. People who have steady jobs don't realize things are getting worse and worse for a large segment of the population. Poverty and homelessness continue to increase. The economic advisers, I look to, see no evidence of a recovery.
Yet, there is evidence of people deciding that enough is enough and in a nonviolent way taking control of the situation. The dark will co-opt the movements {Wall Street Occupiers etc.} as much as they can. They will send in agents provocateurs to incite violence and do anything they can to cast aspersions on the character of the demonstrators. Don't pay attention to this. The larger movement is founded on a love for all humanity. It can't be stopped. It won't be stopped. Love can not be stopped.
Live your life this year with great optimism, with great love for those around you and dream of paradise.

WINTER
Although, this is the mildest Winter I remember, it is still Winter. We got just enough snow to create extreme icy conditions on the pathways. I feel like I take my life in my hands [feet] every time I go out. It is forty degrees now and some of the ice should melt, if it doesn't cloud up too much.
I know it is best to ignore the machinations of the dark; but, I would like to comment on one part of recent history. A little over a year ago, we started hearing about how profligate the Greek people were. We were told they had unusually high incomes for the work they were doing, or not doing, and they had obscenely high retirement plans. At the time I did not know this was propaganda and although I did not necessarily believe it, it swayed my thinking. Then comes all the information about the Euro debt crises and the need for austerity programs. I discovered the statistics on wages, retirement programs, productivity, average work day etc. and discovered nothing they said was true. In fact the Greeks worked longer hours than most and did not have better retirement packages. The banks {or whoever they are} were just setting us up so that we would not be too outraged about the plans they had for the Greek people.
The people who control the money are asking the the average Greek citizen to pay for the banks thievery. Certain officials in the Greek government bought bonds from Goldman Sachs that were backed by worthless securities. It appears that Goldman Sachs unloaded this worthless paper knowing full well it was worthless. Can you imagine having the temerity to ask a whole country's people to accept responsibility for your own inordinate greed? No wonder the people of Greece are in rebellion.
I bring this up to point out the inadequacy of our press. Instead of sending a reporter to investigate, or at least, look up the statistics; they passed on, by television and newspaper, the information that was fed them. So what can you believe? Each individual has to hone their B.S. detector or better yet ignore the popular media completely.
When will you be able to believe what you are being told? I think it will be soon, but not before the whole truth comes out about several recent events. For those that feel the need to know, much can be discovered on the internet, but some things are so hidden that there is no adequate explanations to be found.
There is an upheaval in the world that is not being reported. The dark are losing and they are desperate. There will be much sabre rattling and threats of war but for a few minor skirmishes, I don't think much will happen. The light is increasing, people are waking up. More and more people are demanding their right to a decent and fulfilling life on planet Earth.
Keep your focus on Paradise.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON
It 3:28 PM here. A beautiful afternoon. The Sun is shining brightly and it is a pleasant 25.5 degrees F. I have finished my major chores of the day and have an hour and a half to blog or take a nap. Blogging wins for now.
If we are one, have you ever wondered how we are connected? These bodies seem so discrete. How do we feel oneness? I have felt oneness; I am not sure I could describe it. Those of you who meditate have, at least, an inkling. When I use to do psychotherapy, I sometimes got into a space where I was not conscious of myself and my words just flowed from me. I would see things and make observations that I knew were true but I hadn't thought of before. It was as if I could join with my patient and be his/her instrument for their learning. The Oneness we talk about, however, is a connection with everything. My experiences were sometimes with individuals, sometimes with couples or groups. I feel like my joining was with the One {or perhaps you may say my higher self} and that enabled me to see what they needed to learn. With meditation I have had a sense of connection to everything but, I know, I am just beginning to see.
We cannot achieve connection through our bodies. It is fun to try. Sex is wonderfully comforting and will give an illusion of oneness for a short time. But it is always over. I know some folks think Tantric sex is an exception. I think they are just fooling themselves. I don't think the body can be an instrument for oneness. I would be happy to be wrong. However, it is my feeling that focus on the body impedes expansion of the energy that is us.
If we think of ourselves as energy manifesting a body; then we see our body as the densest part of who we are. We wouldn't expect the densest part of us to easily access Oneness. If we can get a sense of who we are and realize that we are energetic beings, we can achieve a sense of oneness because it is at an energetic level that we are connected to everyone else. Even if you cannot experience it now; can you imagine it?
It is because, we are all connected energetically, that if we experience feelings of love, everyone benefits. Every time we choose love for ourselves; we choose it for everyone. Thinking of yourself as energy helps you understand how the spiritual awakening of this planet will proceed. Love is flowing more and more intensely through the energy makeup that is mankind. We are indeed raising our vibration and it will soon be seen as the old ways drop away. I know, sometimes it is hard to see the new world emerging; but it is. We are beginning to see what was always here but obscured by our collective illusion. Perhaps, we have always lived in Paradise.
Love is something that needs to be given away. Let's see how much we can give away.

ANOTHER PERFECT DAY
It has been Sunny for three days in a row. Wonderful! It is, also, warm for this time of year, 31.1 F, presently. Tomorrow, Winter returns with below zero readings for next two mornings. The Sunny weather continues, though, so that's okay.
The chickens must have surmised my threat because they laid six eggs yesterday. I will put off that chicken soup for awhile. I have to get in touch with the shearer to get my sheep done before lambing. Their wool is very long. The geese and turkeys act like it is already spring. Especially the geese, they are into their very noisy mating ritual and they have to determine who is the top gander.
I read the other day {I don't remember where} that you could reduce all spiritual advice down to two words: BE KIND. At the moment it had a tremendous impact on me. As a pursuer of spiritual awareness, I have heard many of these little pieces of advice. This recommendation seemed particularly cogent; especially now, when I find myself in a waiting situation. How could it possibly fail you, to be kind in all interactions? Many times I have been studying something quite profound and immediately thereafter have been less than kind to a family member. A painful paradox.
It seems like we always get a little piece of advice or a nudge in the right direction when we need it. If you are determined to seek light and love, guidance comes to you when you need it and it can come from the most unlikely sources. Be alert.
I got a late start this morning and I need to get my dishes done and a few other things.

A SUNNY DAY
We finally got a sunny day on this part of planet Earth. It was a beautiful experience doing the chores this morning. I am sitting here with a cup of coffee at my elbow; I wonder what I have to say. Today more than usual I don't feel that I have anything to say. I don't feel like repeating myself; although some of the things I touch on need to be said over and over.
My problem is, I am having trouble 'staying in the moment'. Everything is perfect right now. Yet, I find myself vaguely irritable. Why? What gets in our way of just being joyful? I anticipate, when I could be in the present. I have paradise all around me, yet, my vision is blurred by what's on my mind. It is not a thought that is plaguing me; it is a feeling. Dissatisfaction? Anger? Fear? Fear is at the bottom of every negative experience, no matter how it manifests. I guess it is the waiting. Waiting can conceal the fear that things won't turn out the way you want them to.
On one hand I have absolute faith that a new world, made of love, is emerging; but, some days I am less able to see it. The world seems to go on and on in its insanity! Although, I didn't even watch it; the extravaganza called the Super Bowl depressed me. It seemed to reflect everything that is wrong with America. I know, I use to enjoy it myself; I mean no criticism of those that did. This year, however, the shallowness and the money driven, Roman styled spectacle spoke to me, not of nobility, honor or high civilization; but of denial, degradation, decay and the implosion of our society.
See- I told you I was irritable. I feel better now. Forgive me, if I brought you down. I know that underneath this veneer of craziness, people are waking up and soon we will see it reflected in the media and popular culture. As we grow, we will be better at ignoring these kinds of distraction and will be able to keep our minds in the moment and our expectations of a loving world for everybody.
I am going to enjoy this Sunny day! I hope you do too.

THE TIPPING POINT
I think we have passed the Tipping Point. That is the point, where there are more people who understand Love as the most significant force, than those who embrace fear. I believe we passed the point some years ago, but there has been such a backlash from the dark that it has taken some time to experience the manifestation.
Although, love is much more powerful than fear, there is a large segment of our population that is easily manipulated. Perhaps thirty percent? Maybe more. They are often called sheep. Do not hold them in judgement. We have all baaa...ed at times. Why shouldn't they be able to trust their leaders? There is nothing wrong in trust. We should be able to trust those in authority. The problem is, dark energy has been in control for several generations. This has encouraged those to seek leadership, who wanted power and wealth, the psychopaths rose to the top echelons. They are very adept at manipulating the vulnerable. Therefore, they have been able to stay in control even when elections have been relatively honest. As more and more people have their eyes opened, love becomes such a force that it overcomes the dark, despite their manipulations.
Imagine a world where the most loving among us rise to the top; where all leadership roles are filled by those dedicated to the light. A world where it is safe to take your leaders for granted, because their only purpose is to serve you. That time is much closer than you might think. The tipping point has been exceeded, changes will speed up from here.
Our responsibility is to shine our light as brightly as we can. Make a conscious effort to remove all barriers to love. Our major tool is forgiveness. Forgive yourself constantly and catch yourself when you look at yourself with a jaundiced eye. It is difficult to forgive those around you when you are so busy attacking yourself. Look for love in everybody. It is there.
Each time a new individual opens their eyes they diminish the ability of the dark ones to manipulate with fear. The loving energy you put out helps the more sheepish among us immensely. I know it might seem far away but soon this scenario will be behind us and all will realize the power of the love inside them.
Celebrate this wonderful Friday with the knowledge that love is everywhere!

MID-WINTER
It is 11:05AM, February 1 on this part of planet Earth. It is Mid-Winter and 37 degrees F. The warmth this time of year is unusual, but I am not complaining. I have become less fond of Winter as I have teetered on my dotage.
I don't have a good excuse for being late blogging. I was expecting more things to happen on the world economic front that I could discuss. But no, things are slowly going down the drain; the statistics on trade show a significant slowing down of traffic in goods, some say by half, which depends on what year you use as a baseline. However, no matter how you measure it, exchange of goods is at depression levels. Somehow the economy manages to tread water and only slowly sink.
Things here, on Laughing Water Farm, are going along smoothly. We are looking at what seeds to order and we have purchased fifty broiler chicks for delivery in June. I, also, need to purchase some pullets. Our laying hens are not doing to well. We have twenty four. I like to keep about forty. Usually this time of year, twenty four laying hens will give ten or twelve eggs a day. We are getting two sometimes four. Our hens are old, some over ten years. I think we are operating a Nursing Home for these old biddies. We have gone through times when we depended on the chickens for sustenance; then I would attempt to pick out the ones that were not laying and we would have wonderful chicken and dumplings. The last few years, the chickens didn't need to fill that niche and I have been letting them die of old age. I think it is time for chicken and dumplings or a big pot of chicken soup.
I don't feel like commenting on the world situation; maybe that is why I haven't blogged. It, also, seems like I have been terribly busy. I don't think that is a reality. It seems like time flies by and I don't get what, I think, I need to get done. I need more practice living in the moment and loving every minute of it.
Throughout the day remind yourself of how wonderful you are! Love yourself and everybody around you. I will blog Friday.
