I typed the first couple paragraphs and my keyboard froze up. The power light was on, but it acted like it was disconnected. I figured I accidentally hit something. I tried hitting everything on the keyboard; nothing. I tried shutting down Firefox; still nothing. I shut down the computer and started it up; everything is fine. First time I have had that experience. I saved what I wrote, but it disappeared. I will start over.
It is warm and muggy. It was supposed to cool off last night; it didn't. It was supposed to rain last night; it didn't. It was supposed to rain heavily today; it hasn't.
The air is heavy with moisture and there is the expectation of something about to happen. We all have had the experience; waiting for the storm. Small children generally get excited, Some of us hurry up, as if it is important to get things done. Others go into a holding pattern; just waiting for the release of a tension that is hard to explain. It is not a mental tension. It is of the body, but it is subtle. There is no actual muscle tension. The body reacts to something though; atmospheric pressure?
In a much larger scale this feeling is gripping the whole world. How long can we tolerate the madness? We live in a world where governments behave in such a way, that if they were individuals, they would be locked up in prisons or mental hospitals. They are exploiting, poisoning and killing their neighbors. Somehow, because they commit these offenses at a government level, it is okay. Wow! How can that be? Most of us feel helpless to do anything. We elect well meaning officials, but they find themselves unable to deal with a governing structure, behind the elected one, pulling all the strings.
We know we have to stop contributing to the creation of this craziness. Many of us have discovered that we can create paradise around us and we do. The mad world encroaches every time we turn on our television sets or pick up a newspaper.
We know that we create with our thoughts and we are determined to love and forgive. We have seen love and forgiveness work in our personal lives. We are convinced that if we keep extending our love to the rest of the world; the madness will attenuate.
No matter how convinced we are that love is winning and a loving world will emerge; waiting is getting weary. It is tiresome indeed.
When we find ourselves weighed down by a tired, chaotic world; we can realize there is choice. We can choose what and how we are thinking. We can change the thought, "this will never end" to "there is light at the end of this tunnel." We can choose to look for signs of light, rather than focus on the darkness. Better yet, we can choose to ignore it completely. That is not denial, it is moving our time frame to the present moment. What is in our life at this very moment? How are we thinking about it? We can think thoughts, that light us up. There is always a way to lighten up. We don't need to think of ourselves at all. We can look for a way to lighten up our neighbor. Instead of perseverating about the mad world, we can look to see how we can be of service to those next to us. Yes, we can create paradise around us.
We have been trapped, in this crazy illusion that we created, when we bought into fear. As long as we pay attention, to the prompters to tell us to be afraid, we will will keep participating in the maintenance of the mad world.
The folks who are gaining wealth and power, by promoting the mad world, are largely unaware of the enormity of their crime. They are, for the most part, incapable of compassion. They have convinced themselves, long ago, that this is how the worlds is supposed to be. Yet, they do know enough, to be terrified of the Light. They know that their power is waning. They can see that the mind of humankind has chosen, love and peace, over fear. They are panicked to hold unto their power. Hence, they are creating as much chaos as they can, in hope of reversing the situation. They still control the media. That is why the evidence of the Light is being squelched.
But we can see the evidence of the Light in our own lives. Look, it is there. For each one of us, it boils down to a choice between love and fear. Are we going to entertain thoughts that are love derived or thoughts that are fearful? It makes all the difference.
Love and Peace, Gregg
