MID-WINTER

Our mid-Winter thaw is over, at least for now. It is cold and getting colder. It is not going to be a deep freeze like it was at the beginning of the month. It is forecast to get down to a few degrees below zero F in the coming week.

Our chicken debacle is over. They are all snug in their coop. All except one, a white Orpington, that was apparently caught by a great horned owl. The remains showed all the clues that the owl was the culprit. In our neighborhood, chickens are safe as long as they are locked up at night. There are day time predators, but in over forty years we encountered them only a few times.

I am sitting here with a blank mind. I don't want to write about the crumbling world. I pay little attention to it. I do know we are in a currency war. United States would like to maintain its dominate position with the dollar as the World Reserve Currency. Its value has been going up but there are signs that it is heading for the cliff.

I would like to focus on the new world that is emerging. It is difficult because we get no help from the media, all the strife and violence in the world is hyped and kept alive. The movement for peace gets little coverage. We have to look very close to notice that peace is actually growing and the violence in the world is attenuation. The groups that are fomenting violence and division are having their efforts fizzle. People of good will are determined to come together in peace.

When I focus on my friends and neighbors, I see folks that want love and peace in their lives. I don't see anybody, who wants anybody else to suffer the pain that is depicted in the crumbling world. I see some people who are confused and don't know where to put their energy and attention. The media's function, seems to be, to keep them confused. I don't see these folks choosing the strife and turmoil presented by the media. In conversation, they appear eager to accept the idea of a loving world. Nobody wants to continue the madness. Nobody, at least, but those who gain money and power from it. But, even those folks, will eventually give up their craziness.

We all want to feel loved. We all want to love. There is only, a handful of people, who have given up love for money and power. For some reason they feel too unworthy to be loved and they have accepted money and power as a substitute. In our long history they have gained dominance. There time is over. We have decided to end our confusion and retake control of our lives. We know that love is the only meaningful force. And, we will discover, that outside this illusion it is the only force there is.

At times we feel alone with our understanding, that love is everything. However, it is growing all around us. We will soon see it acknowledged everywhere.

Love is taking over.

Happy Friday!

Love and Peace,  Gregg
