THE EVENTS IN OUR LIVES

I am writing early, this Morning. We have a busy day before us; at least the first half of the day. We have errands to run. We have to take Rosie, our little dog, to the groomer, get milk from the Amish; then go to town and go to several places.

Jamie is definitely better. She went out on her own last evening. She had agreed to teach a canning class before she had surgery. She didn't fully realize the impact this surgery would have. She met the challenge without a problem and came home feeling very good and she wasn't excessively tired.

I had planned on going with her. It turned out that Naomi, who is in her last year of Nursing, had a clinical to attend and I had to stay home with Elijah. He had kindergarten this Morning and needed to get to bed on time.

I never thought I would be sitting here today, looking back on the last few years and realizing what a gift having our daughter and grandson living with us has been. It has been a very enriching experience. Elijah was a baby when he joined us. We went through [or at least observed] all those wonderful things you go through with a growing child. Crawling, walking, toilet training, teething, pre-school, kindergarten; it is all rather amazing and wonderful. I think the energy helps keep an old codger like me young.

We have discussed, how we are the authors of our lives. It is pretty easy to see how we create our experiencing of situations with our thoughts and feelings. We have learned to see how our relations with others is effected by our preconceived notions and how we may actually create the interactions, we have, by how we were feeling and thinking. We can see how some of the actual events of our lives are formulated by our thoughts.

Yet we are puzzled by others that happen and don't happen. Why haven't I won the lottery, I am certainly open to it? Why did that hawk kill my chicken? Why do my feet hurt? Why? Why? Why? These may be complaining whys or curious whys. We would like to know.

If we can look back, at the events of our lives, fully and honestly, we may discover something. We learned and we learned and we are further along on our path because of our experiences.

We are all on a path to oneness. We are on a path to unconditional love. We are on a path to realize who we are. We are on a path to know we are perfect beings of light. All of these and more. Every persons path is different. No one of us is able to perceive all the aspects of someone else's path. Judgement is not just foolish, it is impossible.

Looking back, we will see, that the things, that happened in our life, are exactly what we needed to grow. We may need to do a little forgiving and letting go of resentments, etc. But when we do, we may perceive, and with gratitude, that these experiences were given to us.

Life is an amazing and fascinating adventure. We can only make sense of it when we love it. As time goes on it becomes more fascinating and more loving. Know that the events in our lives come to us because we called them to us. We needed them to learn. We are learning.

Our learning is speeding up. Welcome all the changes in your life. Know that we wanted them and needed them to become the loving beings we know we are.

Love and Peace,  Gregg
