NOW

Jamie is back in the family fold. We ran up to the furniture store first thing this Morning. We bought a recliner for Jamie. She has difficulty getting comfortable in most chairs and the couch. She has difficulty getting out of either. The recliner will allow her to sleep in it if need be. A recliner is something we never thought we would have. My guess is we won't need it in a couple weeks but then, I bet, we will keep it.

Life is not yet back to normal. But what is normal? Or we could ask, "How do you find peace in a chaotic world?" We see the world is insane. The radio and television makes us feel crazy; unless we are very selective. And can you be that selective?

We all have deep peace inside of us. If we close our eyes and relax; we can sink down in to a very quiet place. Try it. Let yourself sink down, without thought, seek the quiet. Let all the tension drain from your body. Those of us who have not done this before may need a little practice. It will come easily. Peace is our natural state. The thoughts, {noise} that continually run through our minds, are fear based. They allude to concerns, based on little fears or big fears, they have absolutely no value.

Our natural state is peace and our natural attention is now. The peace we find, when we look for it inside us, is always there. We never have to leave it. Being in the present, what is called the now, is peaceful. All right action occurs when we are in the now. The noise in the mind keeps us from seeing the right action.

When we first try living in the now, we will experience all sorts of head trips. Our egos, which attract fear, will constantly lure us into this or that thought channel. We just need to catch ourselves and focus on what is before us. We all have heard, that there are no accidents. That there are no coincidences. That everything that happens is purposeful. We have heard this forever. It is part of the ancient teachings as it is part of most current spiritual teachings. Rather than struggle with the truth of these propositions, we may try living as if it is true.

Accept the idea, that everything that happens is a teaching event. Every person we meet has something to teach us. Everything has been arranged perfectly for our learning. If we fully attend to the moments in our life and love and love and love; wow, what a loving world we will see.

Another way of seeing it, is all of life and every moment is sacred, we honor it.

The folks are bringing us our new chair.

Love and Peace,  Gregg
