It appears to be the beginning of another perfect Spring day on Planet Earth. I have a fair amount of yard work to do. The yard is full of branches, big and small. Many came down during some strong winds we had a month ago; and we have a lot of trees that shed, over the Winter, the branches add up. This would be a perfect day to begin the clean-up. I, also, have some fence work to do. It is going to require driving some steel posts. I think, but I am not positive the frost is out completely. There is no big hurry with the fence work. I may wait a week or two.
I look around here, on Laughing Water Farm, and I see we live in paradise. It is hard to see, that much of the world, is in turmoil. I know the turmoil is exaggerated by those who want to manipulate us through fear; but even so, it is clear that life is unpleasant for many.
Those of us who are empathetic can't help but be aware of the pain of the world. It can be, indeed, heart breaking. We wonder, "Why would people hurt each other?" We need to do what we can to alleviate suffering, but it doesn't help if our empathy turns into suffering itself. We need to unburden our hearts by forgiving those who transgress and reach out and help those who are struggling to see. If we can find a way to be of service we will find our heartbreak lessen.
It helps if we can keep our eye on the goal. The more we can be conduits, for the love that is flowing from Source, the better we will feel. We can't help but make progress. Each one of us has a different struggle. Each one of us sees things differently. Many of us are undergoing personal and family struggles, as well as being enmeshed in the turmoil of the world. No matter our situation, we can look for a bright spot. There is always a spot of light. There is always something to be thankful for. Focusing on a spot of light, no matter how dim, will begin to raise us out of, whatever muck, we find ourselves in.
Keep in mind that the turmoil, as shown on your TV, cannot be taken at face value. For example, the riots in Baltimore may have been created by special police forces trained to create riot. It looks like agent provocateurs were employed. It is too early for me to discern the truth. Don't accept what the media is presenting as truth, however, it is no longer possible to hide the truth for any length of time. Even the main stream media was hinting, that all might not be as presented. I was surprised to hear qualifying words that hinted the riot was provoked by the police. This was last nights telecast. {Hey, I know, I advise people not to watch the news. I did have the sound off most the time.}
Every one of us has a mission, whether we know it or not. Our mission is to spread love wherever we go; no matter what we are doing. We are created by source and somewhere beneath our ego disguises, is a reflection of Source. If we practice our mission, we will eventually see that we are part of Source. When we really know it, not just intellectually conclude it, we will be at peace and no outside disturbance will get to us.
Let us keep focusing on our mission. Our goal is much closer than we think.
Love and Peace, Gregg
