ONENESS

It was promising to see the headline in yesterday's paper, "POPE: WHO AM I TO JUDGE?" Wonderful to see an acknowledgement of our changing times. It is paradoxical that a church, founded on the principles of Jesus Christ, who taught us not to judge, would have set up a hierarchy dedicated to judgement. The intention is often hidden, but the purpose is clear, the church exist for the purpose of judgement and control.

Of course, the pope was talking about gay marriage or at least gay life, but this thought can be carried further and generalized. How can he judge? How can anyone judge? Christians and spiritual seekers, of all stripes, have often run into conflict between the core spiritual teachings of their religion and the practices of the leaders. Looking at Christianity, for example, reading what Jesus taught, it is clear we have no capacity to judge. Then, of course, there is no support for war, violence, revenge, punishment etc. that the church has heavily indulged in.

The prophets, teachers, avatars, seers etc, who came in to this world, to elevate us, could see 'oneness'. That is they could see past the body illusion to see the reality; that we are spirit that expresses oneness. We, all, derive from the same source. Our differences are made, by our belief in separateness, which is a peculiar belief of this duality planet. It was a grand experiment, seeing how far the idea of separateness could take us. We see it. We don't want to do it any longer.

Most of us, still have some difficulty understanding 'oneness'. Our egos are dedicated to defeat this belief. Our ego can only thrive in separateness. Our egos do not want us to consider giving up judgement, the reason for their existence. Yet we will find it is surprisingly easy to give up judgement, once we begin to make the first forays into seeing things differently. What a relief, not to have to judge. What a relief, not to have to have an opinion on everything. The peace that exist in the mind that does not judge is profound. Even, in the beginning, of giving up judgement, we feel the increase of peace.

The changes, that are soon to take place, will be easier to accept, if we can see ourselves as one. If we can see, each other, as fragments of source, who are all on a path to understanding their oneness, it will be easier to avoid judgement. We cannot understand, fully, the significance of anybody else's  path. So, it isn't that, we shouldn't judge; so much, as we can't judge. We will never know enough. Again, know the peace, of not judging.

Soon all the old, ego based, hierarchies will be dissolved. We are equals. We all deserve the same wonderful life, rich in everything our Mother can give us. Sure, there are hierarchies based on abilities, talents and acquired knowledge, but they just define how we can best be of service. If my gift is carpentry I can serve people by building houses. If my gift is healing I can serve people that way.

Once we begin to understand 'oneness', we will appreciate any opportunity to serve others. We will understand that we can only give to ourselves. We, only serve ourselves, when you serve others. Peace, happiness and joy come from being of service. Yes! That is a reality. Isn't Love wonderful!

I need to serve humanity by cleaning up the kitchen.

Love and Peace,  Gregg
