MOSQUITOES

It is an absolutely gorgeous day. Sunny, breezy, seventy-four degrees F, the sky is swarming with dragon flies, dining on the abundance of mosquitoes.

Mosquitoes - what about mosquitoes? We can look out the window and see paradise. We want to have a greater experience of paradise, so we go outside. We are attacked by swarms of insects, each intend to have a blood meal. We don't mind giving a little blood to these creatures. We don't mind a bite here or there. But, to be so inundated, we have to spend all our time warding them off; that robs us of paradise.

The conditions were perfect, for the mosquito harassment, to abate, a little, this Morning.

Is there a metaphor here? If somehow we could know that paradise is here; how many of us could see it?

We look out at the world, through layers and layers of filters or veils, that we made from our thoughts and feelings.

OUR PERCEPTION! Our perception isn't reality, but, it is our reality. We see what we have programed ourselves to see. So, if paradise, were here, could we see it?

Our negative thoughts are like the mosquitoes that continue to harass us and blind us to what is there. Let's look at it another way. Imagine we are born perfect, coming directly from source, we can see paradise. We know no limitation, we only know love. However, our parents, and all others around us, see limitation. They see worry. They see judgement. They see we are unworthy. They may think humankind is hopelessly unworthy. They cloud our breathing space with their sense of limitation, morality, sin and hopelessness. These thought mosquitoes, blind us to what is. Soon, the paradise, that we could have seen, is obliterated, by the perception that was made for us.

Waking up, is unlearning all that these well meaning people taught us. It is lovingly blowing away those mosquitoes. We don't need to believe in them, anymore.

We go through our forgiveness rituals. We still are swarmed with mosquitoes. Haven't we forgiven everybody? Haven't we forgiven ourselves? Don't we know we deserve to live in a paradise?

Ah............ but, we have been taught for lifetimes that we are unworthy. The chief programming of religion, government and all other institutions of control, is unworthiness. People, are easier to control, if they are convinced they are unworthy.

The sense of unworthiness goes very deep, because, it wasn't just our parents and teachers, it was our whole culture that inculcated this sense.

How big a problem is this? We discover it is not as big as it seems. If we look at it, and acknowledge it, it loses its power. We can consciously shine love, on the culture and the people who taught us limitation. We can forgive them and blow away those mosquitoes.

Like everything else, we need to practice feeling worthy. We need to periodically reflect that we came from source. Source in unconditional love, therefore we are unconditional love. There are no ands, ifs, or buts about it, we are unconditional love. We have only learned to hide it from ourselves.

We are very fortunate, living at a time, when Love is flowing so powerfully on the Earth. It is aiding us greatly, in discovering, who we really are. We are magnificent beings of light, worthiness is not an issue, we are part of source.

Love and Peace,  Gregg
