A LAZY DAY

We got up this morning; I did the chores, then we went out to breakfast. It is early afternoon and I just finished washing last nights supper dishes. A little different schedule this Sunday. We have been very busy these last few days and it is nice to have a quiet day.

As it often happens, I have no idea what to write about. I feel like things are in a holding pattern; but just on the surface. Underneath, it feels like there is great pressure building up and anything could happen anytime. I don't know what more to say about it. We will have to wait and experience it.

But that is the outside world; here on my twenty acre domicile, I experience incredible peace. I don't know what I would be aware of if I wasn't hooked up to the internet. I don't listen to the television news anymore. I do read a weekly news magazine, but that is getting predictable. I wonder, if I stayed here and didn't communicate with the world, would I be aware of the pressure that seems to be building up?

I have a chair out by the barn and adjacent to a pasture. Twice a day, I sit there and mediate. Sometimes with my eyes closed in the traditional style; sometimes with my eyes open observing, Krishnamurti style. I am usually there twenty minutes to an hour. I am surrounded by chickens, sheep and geese, despite their occasional caterwauling, it is amazingly peaceful. Animals exude love. It is surprising how much love seems to radiate from a flock of happy chickens.

Whatever else we do; I think the best way to help the planet and the planet's denizens including us, is to love everything you see. Think of yourself as a spewer of love and pour it out on everything and everybody you see. It is nice to know stuff and be wise; but being love is more important, perhaps essential right now. The world needs your love, now.

We will make the transition to the new world; the more you love the smoother it will be.

Love and Peace,  Gregg
