HAPPY NEW YEAR

Put away your apprehensions. Forego your conclusions. 2017 is not going to be as we think. Expect surprises. Expect miracles. Don't expect our foregone conclusions to be borne out. Nothing is, as it seems to be.

A quick assessment of my feed supplies, tells me my chickens will be hungry when the feed store is closed. I thought I had enough feed to last till Tuesday. They are closed on Monday. I don't; those little creatures are hungry this time of year. There is next to nothing for them to eat outside and they are putting on fat for the egg laying season, which will begin in the next couple weeks. We have 5 pullets, but they won't start laying for awhile. They weren't hatched until the middle of August. We are in our egg deficit period, we get a couple a week.

That means I have to go to the feed store today. I prefer going in the Morning, because Friday afternoon is sometimes a circus, with people making sure they are prepared for the weekend. So this is a short blog to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Look for an increase in the light! Celebrate! Everything will be more than okay!

Love and Peace, Gregg
