Another day on planet Earth. We escaped
the big weather system, that swept across the continent, we didn't
get a single snowflake. Now we have a clipper system coming from the
Northwest, we may not be so lucky. According to the forecast, there
is a possibility of an inch or more.
There is knowing and knowing. Is
knowing a collection of facts? Certainly that isn't the knowing
behind wisdom.
Have we considered a seed? Is that
knowledge, that is locked in it? It knows how to use water to expand.
It knows how to split open and send up a shoot. It knows to grow up.
It knows where light is found. It knows when to send out its
cotyledon leaves. It sends its roots into the ground to find
nutrients and moisture. With perfect timing it send out its adult
leaves. It continues into maturity and makes seeds of its own. We can
see it, as stimulus and response, as we can describe photo-synthesis
in detail; but is that it, a collection of observations, a collection
of facts? What about the energy that goes into it? What is the 'idea'
that is locked into the genetic material?
Consider one of our own human
offspring. They master one of the most complex tasks in a very short
time; language. Speaking words involves the lips, tongue and breath.
The mind has to make connections with the eyes and ears and the
objects portrayed by the words. Parents make a big show of teaching
their children to talk; but the truth is, the children learn to speak
whether they are spoken to or not. It is further amazing, that having
accomplished this marvelous task on there own, we think we need to
teach them everything. When is teaching, teaching, and when is it
programming? Are we teaching our children because we want them to
know truth? Or are we, programming out of fear, that they won't be as
we want them? Are we more interested in management or having free
happy children who can think for themselves?
It is said that the test of truth, is
that it is true. Have we been so brainwashed, managed, and penned up
in our various occupational, professional, political and religious
cages, that we can only accept the limits of the perceptual reality,
we so willingly accepted? Oh, we love to belong!
To test what is true, we need to get
acquainted with who we are. We need to find out what we have always
known, like the seed that is planted in the ground. We came into this
world 'knowing'. Our culture, our upbringing, did everything to cast
doubt on this 'knowing'. We were taught to depend on others, who had
already lost their 'knowing'.
We need to make a conscious effort to
get rid of all the nonsense we absorbed. Let us rid ourselves of our
beliefs. Let us dispel our judgements. Let us let go, of all our
preconceived ideas, of how the world should be. Let's let everything
go with one big whoosh. Oh to be free! Oh to have an empty mind!
There is nothing like a Good Poop!
Love and Peace, Gregg
