We have been planning to convert our goat barn into a chicken coop this Summer. Our present chicken coop is 100 yards from the house and these last few Winters have not been fun. We have been getting milk from the Amish and Jamie has been making cheese from cow's milk. We have been milking goats for over forty years and we are going to take a break from it.
We picked a day, a month ago, for my Son Matt to come up and help. Our Son Noah is staying with us now and between them they can get the job done. Of course, we hoped for good weather and instead we have the coldest, windiest, drizzliest, day of the Season. Then a moment ago a person called who wants our last goat. He is a year and half old buck who hasn't been handled much; he will be fun to catch.
The major work in the new chicken coop will consist of insulating and building nest boxes and roosts.
I got to go help.
We will meet again on Monday.
Love and Peace, Gregg
