We are waking up, both to the painful world we have made, and the fact that there is much more to reality, than what our five senses have been telling us.
We have locked ourselves into believing, reality is what our five senses tells us. We, therefore, limit ourselves to our physical and ego interpretation of reality. We have never, really accepted this limitation, however, our literature and art forms, of all kinds, point to a greater reality. All through our history, Masters were born, who directed us to a greater reality. They encouraged us to go inside and experience the peace and love therein. They taught us that we are one spirit manifesting different expressions. No matter how different we appear, we are one.
Now science is discovering what spiritual seekers have always known. Everything is energy. Everything is in motion. The energy takes different forms but derives from the same source. When we define that energy as love, we see completely differently.
Meanwhile, if we are seeing through our ego's eyes, we see the pain and suffering we have made. It is a tired old world made of fear; rife with violence, inequality, exploitation and illness. We are discovering that we don't have to look at that world. We can choose to see only love. We are discovering we are in charge of our perception.
I came across a phrase in my reading, "all good is coming to you". It is an appropriate mindset for us to adopt. Since we are creating this world with our minds, lets have a belief that helps. We are realizing that worrying, fretting, anxiousness, whatever you call it, has no value.
We are finding out who we are. We are discovering we are part of Source. Our Source is unconditional love; then, we are unconditional love. Regardless, of the ego structured personalities we may have developed, at the core we are love and we yearn for that recognition. Like iron filings to a magnet, we are drawn to "oneness".
The painful illusion can only be maintained with fear. To defeat this mechanism, we can practice being in the Now. The ego needs the past, and the anticipation of the future, to operate; it can't exist now. As we give up, all thoughts of the past, we become aware of the love and peace in the present. The future is, then, an extension of the present. It is possible to live forever in the present [eternity anyone] and we discover the illusion of time.
I was intrigued by a line in a Grateful Dead song, "gone are the days we stopped to decide, we just go". I am beginning to have a deeper appreciation of it.
Love and Peace, Gregg
