The mainstream media continues reporting on a crazy world of violence and strife. After giving you a picture of how dangerous and hopeless the world's situation is, they throw in a puppy dog story for dessert; some little bit of fluff, to leave you in a good mood, to buy the advertised products. It is a formula that has been used for the last thirty years or so. Nothing really changes in the MSM.
Yet, we feel a change. We know things are happening. And happening big time. We feel in our bones that great changes could happen in a blink of an eye. What should we do? How can we help bring about what is to come? Some of us might feel we should be doing more. We may feel inadequate to do what we think needs to done.
The greatest contribution you can make to the world's welfare is to be yourself. Your real self; free of the borrowed negativity, that may still cling to you. Look at yourself lovingly. Release yourself from any negativity you see. Be, just Be. Useful doing will come. You will know what do do. By loving yourself, you become a fountain of love for others. We discover that giving is what makes us happy. Give, what you have to give: a smile, a kind word, a hearty laugh, an appreciative chuckle, companionship, friendship, etc. Sure money and material goods can be gifts, too, if they are from the heart. We understand what we need to do. Be our marvelous loving selves; we will uplift the world.
When we look at the old world, all we see is the pain and suffering. We may think we can be helpful by 'attacking' the problems. But 'attacking' is the problem. It is the way the old world has done everything; by attacking and fighting; a war on drugs, a war on poverty, a war on crime. War only begets war, strife begets strife, anger begets anger. HEY- WE DON'T WANT TO DO THAT ANYMORE.
Let's forget the past. Let's stop time. Let's be in this moment. Let's be happy. Let us marinate in the love of the universe. We will do, appropriately. We will see what is to be done. Let us concentrate on discovering what beautiful loving beings we are.
The Sun came out. It has been a stranger. I am going to stroll outside and feel its warmth and see if there are any bees on the apple blossoms.
Love and Peace, Gregg
