BRINGING LIGHT

This might be a short blog. Then maybe not. I need to butcher six more broilers this morning. We did five on Sunday morning during the snowstorm. Then we will have fourteen left and we can finish in two days. I have only an hour or so to blog.

As we awaken we may feel the need to bring light to those who still have heavy lidded eyes. In our enthusiasm to teach that love solves all problems, which it does, we may put some people off. We need to be careful not to challenge others beliefs. It is not necessary to bring others beliefs into question in order to be a bearer of light. It is not necessary and not even accurate as we must admit that we really don't know anything.

We have been convinced that the Universe is Love. That The Source of all is Love. That we a were created with Love. To love. We know that love will solve all the worlds problems. It doesn't make sense to tell people that. They either agree and know it already or they, in all probability, don't want to hear it from one of us.

Yet when one of us discovers something of this magnitude, we want to shout it from the roof tops; and if we look around us, surely we see the need to help others see. We help others by helping ourselves. We need to make a commitment to find that well of love in ourselves. As we find quiet times to go inside, we will become more able to access peace when we need to. Life's worrisome things can  flit by without engaging our egos.

As we become more worry free, we radiate more love and people sense our peace. They will be drawn to us and perhaps a conversation will begin; but we never need to initiate teaching. The right people will come to us if they see that they can learn from us. We teach others by raising our own vibration. As we let more of our love flow out we raise the consciousness of all. We will make progress as one.

Yes it is time to bring our light to the world. We need to do all we can to help humankind evolve. Each of us can make our own assessment of where we are at. Do we need to be more gentle? Resolve to work on that today. Learn gentleness. Do we make snap judgements? Resolve to be patient; reiterate to yourself that judgement is folly. Do we feel we are not expressive enough? Wake up every morning with a resolve to smile at every one you meet. We are all evolving, none of us has arrived. Assessment is not judgement. We must guard against judging ourselves. That creates more problems. Yet we do know in what areas we could grow. Let's be honest with ourselves and take steps to grow in those areas.

We teach by our being, not by what comes out of our mouth. As we radiate more love, the teaching takes care of itself. Some of us are teachers in the traditional sense of passing on information orally or in writing. If you are one of these, students will appear at your doorstep. You don't have to concern yourself with it, you will attract those who are to learn from you. Most of us do our teaching by choosing love moment by moment. As I have mentioned before, we can't measure our impact on another. Your beautiful smile to a stranger might have more power than hours of formal teaching. We cannot know what great things a smile and a few pleasant words can bring to someone in a funk. Love spontaneously, that is how we spread the light.

Love and Peace,  Gregg
