FRIDAY

Time is speeding up again. It has been speeding along for quite awhile. I thought about a month ago it was slowing back to normal {whatever that would be}. These last couple weeks, the days have gone by so fast, I feel I just have time to do my usual things. It is hard to sort it out, from the usual speeding up of time, that comes with age. I think most people recognize the sense of time speeding up in middle age and it apparently goes faster as you get older. Since I have not experienced aging before {that I can remember} I am not completely sure, that what I am experiencing isn't normal. However, I do hear people, much younger than me, complain about it. Time is an interesting illusion.

The weather continues to be strange. The forecast for this area was 7 F it is already 19 F. It got down to 17 below zero last night.

If you look at the surface of things, the world seems to be humming along as usual. If you look under the surface things are exploding. Indonesia is sinking, there are strange noises of geologic nature being heard in several locations. The political scene is so strange to be bizarre. The Republican candidates are funnier than some comedy teams. Everyday there are amusing revelations. Of course that political stuff is on the surface for all to see. The media portrays the economy as jerking along but heading for recovery. A superficial search of the internet describes an economy that is on the verge of collapse. I can't find any credible economist who thinks there is a way out of the European crises; at least by any means considered. There are trillions of dollars in bad debts on both sides of the Atlantic. They cannot be satisfied. The only way out is debt forgiveness; a solution that is not acceptable to the creditor banks. Collapse will happen.

A collapse is not a bad thing. It will be disorienting. There will be confusion. In the end it will be the best thing that could happen. It will mark the end of money as a means of controlling the population. I don't know how much our institutions will become ineffective and I don't know if it matters; we need to build a new civilization from the ground up. The expression, "from the ground up" is appropriate as most of us need to have a hand in food production. Groups will spring up in every neighborhood to show people how to garden and raise small animals, chickens etc. Love thy neighbor will be the guiding principle. Those who cannot care for themselves will be taken care of.

Imagine a society based on love. Imagine the freedom to express yourself in the most creative way you could. Imagine everyone using their talents for the benefit of everyone else. If you can imagine it-it will happen.

Love and Peace, Gregg
