SOME RE-THINKING

There is a big weather system brewing up some troubles for Minnesota. Nothing unusual for March; but, we have already gotten used to Spring like weather. Some areas of Southern Minnesota are supposed to get up to a foot of snow. The Twin Cities will get 5 to 8 inches, according to the last forecast, I saw. We live about forty miles North of the, outer edge, of the metropolitan area and 75 or 80 miles from downtown. So far, we have only flurries forecast, we have all seen how that can work out.

I got spoiled by that early promise of mild weather. Our temperatures, right now, are in the normal range. Does that mean we can't complain? I don't really mind much. It is called the 'theater of seasons' for a reason.

I noted that the sheep in the North pasture drank all their water. I had to haul them extra. That means that those ewes are within two weeks of lambing. An exciting time! One of the reasons why I look forward to warmer weather is that I can water the animals with the hose. The hoses are over two hundred feet. They lay, permanently, mostly under the sod. They are difficult to drain completely. Sometimes I do use them this time of year; but they may not thaw out until late afternoon, or not at all. They will thaw out quickly if there is only a mild freeze; but 20 degrees F, uh uh. I may have a couple more weeks of hauling water. Unless, unless that mild weather returns.

There is evidence that Spring is early. Our local lake [Lewis Lake] is now open. That is the earliest ice out I know of. The average ice out is around April 17 in this vicinity.

Is that enough local color? I am in a quandary about what to write. I had intended to write several blogs on our need for relearning and why healing/learning centers were a good idea. I was going to take one institution of our society, at a time, education, medicine, science, religion etc., and illustrate how we have been mis-taught and mis-led. I want to make a powerful point about how little we really know and how our beliefs have been shaped by folks who are only interested in power and money. The vast majority of people are innocent of any deception. They only pass on what they were taught. Most of us are too busy surviving to put much interest in these subjects.

I feel like, on one hand, I am preaching to the choir; many of my readers have a good handle on anything I could say. On the other hand, there are people that cannot hear what I have to say, because they have yet to have that experience, that shakes them to the core, and they realize the world is not what they perceive.

Things will happen that will rattle our cage. It is happening now. Minds are opening. The profoundness of our ignorance is still not appreciated. We were cut off from any opportunity to see reality a long time ago. We have been lied to, manipulated, and kept in a cocoon of ignorance for ages. We are about to break out. We are about to discover who we are.

I want to break out of the cocoon myself and I want to help others as much as I can. I am as dumb, as they come, when it comes to knowing anything. However, I am very sure of that; I don't know anything. From not knowing anything, I can go forward. I do have one belief, and that is, that Love is the Nature of the Universe so, therefore, are We.

I will go forward and discuss each institution and our need for relearning.

Love and Peace, Gregg
