It sure looks like Spring on Laughing
Water Farm. We still have patches of snow and ice, but they are
receding quickly. Good sense and knowledge of history should insulate
us from being too optimistic. Is there such a thing as too
optimistic? Even though we know, we could get three feet of snow next
week, one has to trust their feelings. Spring feels for real. I put
my toboggan and snow blower away. Well the snowblower wasn't working
anyway.
Jamie planted seeds of tomatoes and
peppers in the greenhouse and great gardening dreams begin.
My intention was to start a discussion
of our need for healing/learning centers. I am a little overwhelmed
by the task. Condensing my thinking of forty years, on the subject, to
a few short blogs sounds difficult. If I had any sense I would
prepare outlines of each subject I want to cover in a blog. But, that
is not me. I just sit down here and start tapping at the keys and
hope what comes out is intelligible.
Some things to consider are the make up
of the people. The setting. Our aim. We need to ask ourselves, “How
are we crazy?” Not just how is the world crazy, but us too. The
people who make up the staff of the center must be aware that they
are crazy, too. The only difference is they know it and want to seek
healing. I see the staffs as a collection of healers, educators,
scientist etc.; those who belong will know they belong. Some folks
will come together because they know it is their mission, others will
need a little persuasion.
I see a group of people, who want to
further their own healing, offering an experience of healing to the
surrounding populace. Every person seeking healing will select the
modality that makes sense to them. There will be a smorgasbord of
healers, but the one seeking healing must make their own choices.
Those skilled at helping people choose, can help, but there will be
no expert/dummy consciousness.
We need to, be very aware, of the
energy that comes into the centers. One of the major conduits of
energy is food. I don't know how things may play out, but it seems to
me, in the beginning, the center should consider raising their own
food. In our society right now, there are very few who would not
benefit by getting their hands in the dirt. Part of the overwhelming
sickness of our present society is the food we eat. If a healing
/learning center is going to be successful, they must have a good
source of food. At least in the beginning, that means we raise our
own. Also, gardening would be good therapy for both the staff and
folks seeking help.
We need to be profoundly aware of how
misled we have become. Most of what we think, we know, is in error,
in full or part. The drive for money and power have corrupted
medicine, agriculture, science, education, religion and every other
aspect of our society. In our present state, we don't really know if
what we believe is based on truth or is part of the indoctrination.
But we do recognize truth when we see it. Some folks have excellent
B.S. detectors, others will need a little help finding their
intuition.
In future blogs I will discuss aspects
of the learning/unlearning we have to do.
Happy Spring!
Love and Peace, Gregg
