Our heat wave continues! It is 39.7F.
We are in mid-Winter. All the statistical date indicating the middle
of Winter occur between January 19th and the 27th
[could be the 26th]. I mentioned this in a blog a couple
years ago. A friend of ours, that used to visit us every Friday
night, compiled data; included the mid-point between the first frost
and last frost, the coldest day on average, the highest heating day
and a couple more. The weather data was from the last hundred or so years
[almanac from the FRESHWATER SOCIETY]. The heating statistic came
from East Central Electric Association. We never did decide, when the
best day was to celebrate the very mid-point of Winter, in this nine
or ten day stretch. However, my birthday occurs pretty much in the
middle.
Yup! This is the second day of my
Birthday Week. I will have completed 82 years on planet Earth
sometime tomorrow Morning. We are not planning any kind of
celebration this year. Four of my children live 80 or so miles away.
In the Summer that is a nice drive, and sometimes in Winter it is
too. But I don't want to plan for it. Naomi lives forty miles away
and she and Elijah are coming Thursday and staying until Saturday.
Noah is staying with us. Some celebrating may occur.
Civilness seems to be in short supply,
in our civilization, right now. Folks seem to be succumbing to fear
and dread. As I have said many times before, this plays into the
hands of those who gain from divisiveness.
I am not saying I have any good
answers. We need to be wary of behaviors motivated by fear and
especially be skeptical of moral outrage. We, all, carry with us some
truth. We know things, we are not fully aware of knowing; that is
where our intuition comes from. When we are peaceful, we are more apt
to make good choices, than when we are all riled up.
The good news is, that despite how it
appears, peace and love are gaining. The turmoil can only accelerate
the awakening process. Folks are feeling their power; they are
especially feeling their power in unity. They are realizing that
peace and love are possible on planet Earth.
There is a huge current of love, it is
like an electric current, running through society. We can tune into
it. We can feel it. There is a great vibration of change occurring.
It is somewhat disturbing. If one can tune into it, they can feel the
love energy, otherwise it can be disquieting.
We won't accept anymore craziness. Know
that! Avoid moral outrage. Avoid negative feelings. It is our belief
in Love that will bring in a peaceful world. Let us find our centers
and radiate peace and love to a thirsty world. The old is passing.
The new is emerging.
Love and Peace, Gregg
