We are enjoying above normal
temperatures. It is pleasant after the onslaught of cold last week.
It is 35.4F. I can't entice the chickens to come out. The new chicken
coop has the chicken door on the North side and we don't have sheep
in that pasture anymore to trod down the snow. I know they don't like
to go out if the snow comes over their shanks, but if they can run on
top the snow they generally will. I actually shoveled a spot for them
to land when they jumped out their door but they still don't want to
go out. Maybe they haven't acclimated to Winter yet. A few will
generally come out if it is not snowing; especially if it is Sunny.
They don't seem to mind cold weather if it is above zero F.
I was hoping for a little peace after
the election, but I should have known. The divisiveness seems as
intense as ever. We need to get out of this war mentality. We have
been doing it for a long time. We have had the War on Poverty; the
War on Drugs; the War on Terror; there must have been more. The very
idea of making it a war diminishes its effectiveness; besides keeping
us in conflict. During the election cycle, the Liberals had their War
against Conservatives and the Conservatives countered with their War
against Liberals. As alluring and seductive, as it may be, a War on
Trumpism is not going to solve any problems.
Facebook has become a war zone. We
can't solve our problems by creating more conflict. Actions that
arise from conflict are seldom fruitful. Demonizing those on the
other side will bring no resolution. It didn't do any good in the
election, did it? We will get through this just fine. We know how to
resist injustice without creating unnecessary conflict. The most
powerful actions come from a peaceful, loving consciousness. We have
many examples of this; Martin Luther King being one of the most
recent examples. He never demonized those he didn't agree with. He
never put them down. He always hoped for understanding. But, he would
not give in to injustice.
It is not difficult to understand what
the voters were angry about. I discussed it in a prior blog. I will
put a P.S. referral to that blog at the end of this one. If you know
some Trump voters, have some coffee with them and ask them. You may
discover something. Many of them feel their future has been ripped
away from them. They no longer have the American Dream. They do not
embrace Trump's ideas, but they are bitter that the Democrats
abandoned them.
This chaos will pass. The awakening is
proceeding. The old ruling Cabal, behind the scenes is coming down.
We don't want to be crazy anymore. We want to be free. We want to be
free to love. We know all are equally valuable and deserving of love.
We cannot achieve, what we already know, if we entertain conflict and
war in our minds.
The right action, to correct a wrong,
will come from a peaceful state of being. We will make all decisions
from love. We will succeed. We cannot fail. Avoid the conflict; let
us find our center and spread light and love to those around us.
Love and Peace, Gregg
