EXPANSION OF AWARENESS

Every Morning I do the crossword puzzle {from the paper the day before} accompanied by my first cup of coffee. This Morning one of the clues was, "a decaying memory". I couldn't come up with the answer. I had to look it up, it was "senility". Hmmmmmm-what does that mean? Jamie got a hoot out of it, when I told her. She sometimes teases me about losing it. When she quits teasing me, I will worry.

Oh well, being eighty is fun and hard to believe. So far, I am enjoying the aging process. I am less inclined to do some things, like, build fences and work that requires, getting up and down off the ground, is not my cup of tea. Through, the usual course of my day, I don't think of aging.

It is another beautiful day on Planet Earth. It is cloudy, wet and cool and that is great! It is good Spring growing weather. We have several apple trees, both ornamental and regular, they are in full bloom and they don't need the Sun to look magnificent. The lilacs are a couple days from full bloom. The flowering currants have been blooming for several days. Some people call them clove currants, because of their aroma. They smell especially wonderful in the evening.

The coming months will be troubling for those who are locked into their belief systems. Much is going to be turned upside down. Even some of us, who think we are quite aware, will be surprised to find our pet beliefs challenged. That is okay. Beliefs are beliefs, they are not truths. When our beliefs are loving, they serve us in this illusion. But, knowledge in its truest sense, is not really available as long as we are in this illusion.

Imagine being able to slip into a world without time or space. Now imagine looking back at our world. What we thought of as truth, would not be the same, would it? I think we can be sure of a few things. We are energy. We are the same energy, therefore we are one. We come from a Source Energy {God}. Therefore, we are one with Source. In our experiments with separation, we developed perception.

Perception is interpreting energy through our five bodily senses, and perhaps some senses, we are not yet aware of. Each one of us is unique, in the sense, that we all interpret reality differently. The energy we form into a perceptual experience is the same. The experience, is different, for each of us. Each person sees the color red differently.

So outside of pure mathematics, is truth possible in this perceptual illusion?

We, are all, in search of the truth of ourselves. We need to know ourselves. Most of us, have  some sense of our bodies. They are always with us and sending back messages. They are noisy, complaining and need to be cared for. But, even our bodies are something we know very little about. We have only began to see how amazing they are. And, bodies are even more complicated, when we discover, that many of their tastes, urges yearnings, drives, etc, seem to have an origin somewhere else.

Where is that somewhere else? The mind? That seems logical. That could be the simple answer, until we ask, what is mind? It is certainly much more than what goes on in our brain. We have enough data from near death experiences, and out of the body experiences, to put that idea to rest. Paradoxically, we need an open mind, to discover what the mind is. The very essence of the scientific principle is to proceed without preconceived ideas. Almost, every researcher, who studies the mind, goes into it with significant baggage.

We want to learn the truth of ourselves. We have been hampered, by being part of a culture, that has been controlled by people who maintained power, by manipulating our perception. This manipulation of perception occurs in all areas. It is often, the only reason we buy X toilet paper over Y.  Choosing toilet paper is relatively innocuous. Not liking people, because of the color of their skin, or their religious beliefs, is not so harmless. Millions of people have been killed, tortured and maimed due to perceptual manipulation.

And we have the authority problem, that was mentioned on Wednesday. Would it be so painful to give up everything we believe? We can see, why finding truth, in this illusion is so elusive.

Fortunately, there are many Wayshowers, who have been exploring 'being', for centuries. Paths, exist for learning 'who we are' and many folks are expanding their awareness through meditation.

We are awakening. Things can happen fast. If we are to hang onto a belief, let if be the belief, everything, and everybody, is Love. That will work! Let the future in. We're ready.

Love and Peace,  Gregg
