The Sun is shining brightly. It is 33.6 F, not quite warm enough to melt the blanket of snow that still greeted us upon arising. It snowed most of the day yesterday and rained most of the night. It is hard to measure how much snow we received. After raining several hours, we still have an inch on our porch roof and deck. We have about two inches on the pastures and parts of the lawn. There are parts of the lawn that are bare of snow. The ground must have been warm enough to melt it. There doesn't seem to be any bare batches in the pastures. The sheep and goats are finding tuffs of weeds and grasses that emerge above the snow. If the snow doesn't melt quickly I will be hauling out a couple bails of hay.
I did a little research on how common October snows are. Using my Weather Guide Calender as the information source, I found that since 1875 there were 8 days that we received one inch or more snow. The earliest date was Oct 10 when we had 2.5 inches. There were only four times we had snow[an inch or more] on or before the 20th. 1977[as mentioned], 2009, 1976, and 1916. Interesting that three of these dates are recent.
In my memory, [still speaking of October] we have only once, had snow that lasted for more than a day. Generally, October snow melts in hours not days. The one time I know it lasted more than a day was the great Halloween blizzard of 1991. The official tally was 8.2 inches. We received over a foot here and that snow was still on the ground in the Spring. That was a phenomenally long Winter. As a rule of thumb, any snow that falls before Thanksgiving melts in a few days.
I don't think this snow will last out the day. It is 37.4 F at this moment.
Do you feel the consciousness raising? Do you notice that people around you are awakening? We do. Folks who make it a habit of being pessimistic about the world are suddenly saying something positive. The pain of the Middle East is subsiding. Peace talks are under way in Syria. Our relationship with Iran is definitely improving. The change comes from the people. They will no longer go along with leaders who want war for profit. As the consciousness rises it is harder and harder for those in power to hoodwink the folks into divisiveness and war.
The evolution of humanity cannot be overstated. The key is that we are all connected. It is what makes us One. As each individual decides to choose love over fear, they pour more positive energy into the whole. In this regard, everyone has equal power. No matter who we are or what we are doing, when we choose love, we bring all of humankind forward.
Many spiritually oriented observers state that we have already passed the tipping point and love, joy and peace will be realized by all very soon. These folks talk about weeks and months not years. From now on things can happen very fast. New leaders are emerging to take over from those who were aligned with the dark. Many are waiting in the wings to accept new roles.
Inventions that tap into universal energy have been suppressed since Tesla's time. Many scientist have been working in this area for generations. The fruits of their labor are soon to be unveiled. The fossil fuel people no longer have the power to control our destiny. As long as the folks in charge controlled our power sources, they had their foot on our necks. According to some sources, a power unit the size of a small suitcase will be enough to supply power to a typical home.
One of the most exciting thing will be discovering our true history. How and why did we enter into this separateness? What is our real history since the separation? How many civilizations preceded us? How many were more advanced than our own? How many times were we visited by beings from other worlds? What is our spiritual nature? What did we want to learn by being in bodies? Why?
We need to keep an open mind. New information will come to us quickly. Some information might be unsettling to those who have a lot invested in what they believe. It is best to suspend all we think we know and just observe. Let us be like little children, wide eyed and full of love.
These are exciting times.
Love and Peace, Gregg
