A CRISP FRIDAY MORN

It is a spectacularly beautiful Morning! Bright sunshine,  a wonderful carpet of yellow leaves; what a wonderful way to end three days of the drizzles. I swear Autumn leaves have their own light. They appear to glow more intensely than reflected Sunlight and in the late Evening they glow after the Sun dips below the horizon. It was a pleasure walking across the carpet of leaves this Morning.

Jamie and I have put the cold from hell behind us. We have a few lingering symptoms, but I think we can pronounce ourselves healed. Just in time, as we have a great many things to do in the next couple weeks. We did get the tomatoes picked. We had fried green tomatoes last night [delicious] and some of the ripe ones will be canned today. Those chickens that should be in the freezer are getting huge, some must weigh over ten pounds. We hope we can begin that process tomorrow.

Our building project has been held up because we haven't got the roof trusses yet. In the meantime, the weather was hardly conducive to building. This is the first day it hasn't rained in a long time. We are forecast to get more rain/snow through the weekend. Supposedly it won't be clear again until Tuesday. So it goes.

I quit watching the news on television a few months ago. I look at the paper, which I get mostly for the funnies and the crossword puzzle. It appears that the world is not getting better. It is. It is hard to make a case for world improvement, paying attention to the media. Two things to consider: one, the media likes to cover strife and violence; that is where their money is at. And more importantly, healing of our world means that the negativity that has been festering under the surface, needs to come to the surface. The wounds on the body politic need to heal. They need to be exposed to the healing light. We need to give up our denial and see.

It may not appear so, to all of us, but we are evolving at a rapid rate. Most of us can see that we don't want to continue the old world. More and more things will come to the surface, like pustules coming to the surface of a healthy skin, they will heal. We are far stronger and healthier than we think. Look at them. Don't ponder or evaluate. See and turn your mind to love.

Our resolve to be loving has changed the world. We will no longer fall back into a world of perennial violence. The existing conflicts in the Middle East and elsewhere will wind down. The warlords of the world have lost their power. The people of the world have opted for peace. We are beginning to see a peaceful world emerge.

We discussed in a recent blog our Heart connection. Our heart connectedness to each other is several times more powerful than the connection we make with our mind. Until recently, we have denied the power of our heart connection. Through our heart connection flows the love that is elevating the world. Every time we respond to the radiant smile of a stranger, we send out love to everyone in the world.

Pay attention to the deep peace that is at our center. Every time we take a deep breath we access it for an instant. We would benefit by meditation every day. Let us quiet our minds and find that river of peace. That river connects all of us. When we find ourselves feeling tense, we can learn to automatically look inside to connect with the peace within.

Know that the Old World is passing and a New World has emerged. As we learn to open our eyes we will see the New World. While we are waiting for the film to clear from our vision; look for ways to celebrate. Dance! Sing! Laugh! Look for the love in each other. Be a beacon of light. Look for the beacon of light in all others.

Love and Peace,  Gregg
