It is cool and dreary out, but no snow!
That storm, carrying a foot of snow, went far South of us. It is a
big storm and will hit Chicago. Southern Minnesota is getting dumped
on. We are grateful, here on Laughing Water Farm, we still have a
fringe of snow, here and there, and are happy we are not getting dumped
on. We can still dream of an early Spring.
And that checkbook error, I was
fretting over; turns out it was a bank error. They corrected it
before I had a chance to alert them. They dropped two small checks [actually debits],
when they went from one monthly statement to the next. I checked it
on-line and saw that they retrieved them. It is only the second time,
in my rather lengthy life, I found a bank error. The first time it
was in my favor too, and it was before the age of computers. It is
hard to understand how a computer program could have dropped two items: are there humans involved?
I want to discuss ways, we can start
over, in our relationship with Planet Earth. {Of course, key is our
relationships, with each other, and ourselves} However, as crazy as
we may be, let us start with our planet and how we relate to it.
Years ago, I had the dream of Healing
Centers, whose purpose would be to reorient ourselves to living
sanely and close to the Earth. I envisioned a collection of healers
coming together and providing their services to folks without charge.
These healers would be of all persuasions; from the ordinary to the
obscure. Whether it would be laying on of hands or removing an
appendix – all approaches to healing would be included. Folks would
get a preliminary introduction to what was available and the patient
would decide the course of treatment. Guidance would be available,
but there would be as little expert/dummy scenarios as possible.
I imagined the healing centers,
surrounded by organic gardens that would produce the food for the
group. I thought folks, who were being healed, could contribute
freely, what they may have to offer. If they had no material
substance to offer they could work in the gardens, if they wished.
I imagined this group of healers to be
people, who realized they were learning/relearning themselves, and
all relationships with the patients were a two way street. The
teacher/healer learns as much or more than the student/patient.
I intuit living on our Mother Earth to
be perfect, and the remedy for anything that ails us, to be available
within a short walk from where we live. There must be herbal remedies
growing in the area that we live. There would be no need for the
mind/body separation. All illness is both.
I imagined these Healing Centers
dealing with all physical, mental and emotional situations that
afflict us. That has to include the educational and philosophical.
Now, some forty years later, I think
the need for these Learning/Healing centers is even greater. We have
gone, even further away, in our extensions from the Earth. Medicine
is in technological purgatory. In the last forty years, we have
immersed ourselves in capitalism, to the point, where profit has
eclipsed healing, as the reason for its being.
I think, folks who are waking up, need
to come together, to learn and provide education for others who are
attempting to make sense of life on Planet Earth. Of course, starting
over, means we begin without preconceived ideas, we shed our beliefs,
we give up our ideologies. The only belief that is useful, is the
belief in Love. And, that doesn't have to be a belief for long. We
can discover it easily. Nature is Love. The Energy of the Universe is
Love.
Happy Friday!
Love and Peace, Gregg
P.S. It occurs to me that some kind of entertainment centers are equally important. Folks need places where they can gather and hear music and dance. We need to learn to laugh and celebrate. We need to experience life as joyful................hey, life on Planet Earth can be a blast!
